A very quick note:

I have a system to figure out how much snow the Washington DC/Baltimore area will get and it's a very good system. I know many people share my system and have sworn to it's accuracy. According to my system, we are getting at least two inches with the possibility of four.

What is my system?

The amount of abandoned vehicles coming home in a square mile. Despite the storm not starting until sometime late tonight, there were already three abandoned vehicles -two of which were in a mile stretch along the Bmore-Washington Parkway- with a fourth about to be abandoned.

All I can say is LET IT SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

It's various photos of pretty dress and gowns from ebay, private collections, my collection -basically anywhere that is not the V&A or the Met. Because, as much as I adore those two, everyone uses them to look at pretty dresses. Everyone has access to them. I'm trying to keep a collection of photos that broadens that a bit and yet keeps the photos up online. Basically, it's research. :-)

The collections is pretty much going to be 1930's and back. If I can find pretty 3,000 year old shoes or a piece of fabric...that will get posted with all the Edwardian, Victorian, and Regency I currently have up. There are a lot of blogs/pages that focus on the mid 20th century until today so I don't want to just have a repeat of that.

Anyway, it's there. Feel free to add, ignore, or just drool over pretty pictures.
