Did some sewing so far today...
Jan. 24th, 2011 05:58 pmUgh! It's so cold! It was cold at work so I took a half day (technically, it was to watch Ginsie but really, it was cold!) and it's cold in my house (at least I have blankets here!). So, to help on the whole cold thing, I decided I should finally get around to making the curtain for my bedroom window that I never bothered with. The air conditioner is in the bottom part of the window (it's cover in lots of plastic and duct tape right now because you try taking a 50 pound air conditioner out of the window by yourself) and I had a scarf over the top part.
It's nothing more than silver panne velvet for the facing and has a loose layer that is this awesome changeable netting that they use to sell at Joanns every Halloween. The netting is black/purple/blue with stars and moons over it. It's very pretty. The idea is to be able to tie back the velvet part and leave the netting part as a "daytime" curtain. I'm terrible at explaining it and it's too dark to get a good picture right now but it's up.
Now back to writing like I was supposed to do last month...ugh...
