Actually, I need to get to work on my version of it that I've been planning out forever. I have the half overskirt and the silk, I just need to figure out whether or not the antique netting I have (it's an old skirt with breaks but has enough useable material) is enough for a bodice filler or not....

Joanns sale find!

Joanns is having a major sale today. I got to use a lot of coupons (the lovely 50% off kind) and ended up with muslin (I know, boring), some sort of dead dino that is black with flocked velvet in a lovely damask pattern (forepart, I think), and a linen/cotton true tissue weight papyrus colored fabric. It's 60% linen, 40% cotton and I bought what was left on the bolt. I think I got 8 3/4 yards for $40 or so. It is some fabulous looking stuff. The color really is papyrus looking and the fabric is very very light. I'm thinking a couple new chemises for Pennsic.
