Sewing Post

I did sew today/tonight. I just didn't finish the dress because I need to make a LOT more trim for the hem. I'm making a simple work dress (for work) out of black stretchy cotton with white stretchy cotton as the hem trim. The dress is my own design - high waisted with a half circle skirt attached- and it came out well for what it is. I'm putting buttons in the back rather than a zipper because I hate zippers. The dress is to go with a jacket I bought at Forever 21 in the early fall since I had nothing that went with it but the jacket was too cute not to buy. Honestly, the outfit is coming off a little more Lolita at work than I anticipated but it's still pretty nice for work.

I bought the jacket at Forever 21 and made a dress to match. :-) I wore this today to work with bright red tights.
