I hammered all the grommets on to my re-made corset and went to try it on. ...One of the grommets ribbed out right as I was about to tie it to see how much gappage was in the back. I think I can fix it but it's annoying as can be!

At least the corset looked good...

I finally fixed where the grommet ripped out and tried the corset on. It just doesn't work. It looks all..wonky. There really isn't another way to describe it. So, back to the drawing board!

I do have several mid victorian corset patterns. However, I've found every single corset pattern I have ever used to have interesting ideas on sizing. I've used the smallest possible size before and it still comes out way too big. We'll see though. There will be many, many mock-ups over the next month.

...before I give up and make up my own pattern at 3 o'clock in the morning the weekend before the event when I need the dress I haven't cut out yet to go over the corset...
