Minor Updates
Feb. 15th, 2013 07:50 amI know a lot of people on LJ are hatin' the new posting system. They haven't changed it over here on dreamwidth! :-) Why mess with perfection?
Yesterday, I baked a lenton medieval apple pie for dinner (and bread). It came out pretty decently although I could ahve put more sugar in the upper crust.
It was also Miss Ginsie's birthday. She's 11 years old! She ended up with a ton of treats and a new stuffed toy.
I keep *thinking* about sewing but I haven't really done much. Since it's a three day weekend, I'll be sewing a lot this weekend and, hopefully, get Mom's dress in some sort of finished state. For my dress, I finally found the trim placement I like:

Madame Pompadour, of course. ;-) She has both self trim and lace as a trim on her dress. I love the placement and I'd been looking for a dress where lace was used as a trim and not just on the edge of a trim. I also like the idea of big bows on the stomacher - but mine would be black this year against a red gown. :-)
