Thanksgiving day post

While most of you are probably drooling over the pumpkin pie and sweet potatoe pudding...I thought I'd post something for the fabric hounds amoungst us to drool over.

This is the fabric for the overdress part of my Gold Court gown from ever after. Yes, that is gold thread embroidered around the leaves. I'm trying to get my hands on some silver fabric with gold embroidery that is very similar for the undergown. Then, all I'll need is the green velvet for the gaunlets and I'll have the court gown ready!
I should admitt that I'm also gathering supplies to redo the Just Breathe gown. I'm tired of the one I have even though the bodice and the sleeves came out perfectly. I've gathered up Charmeuse silk for the main part of the dress, gold and silver tissue silk for the over skirt, zardosi floral trim for the edges, and enough freshwater pearls, again, to stack a small jewlery store. I'm going to hand embroider the skirt with antique silver thread I found. That way I won't end up with a floral...again. I might have everything together for it by next year...maybe.
My projects I'm working on right now should be done by December,aka next week. I'll post pictures, I promise. The german gown is my main project right now and it's coming along nicely. I think Pricilla the Pretty Pirate outfit might wait a bit until I get a couple of trims I ordered and check them out. I'm unsure about one of them.
So, I get to work tonight...on Thanksgiving. At least I get overtime and it's at night so I won't miss Thanksgiving turkey. Maybe I'll bring a sandwhich of turkey with a side to sweet potatoe pudding to work.....
