It's wrinkled. Sorry. I decided not to go with the green velvet because it just didn't match at all. The sage green rope trim looks a thousand times better. Mom wanted anything that wasn't pink for trim so....this! I'll be adding the buttons tomorrow. A couple more pictures up on my flickr account.

You are reminding me that I want to make up at least another 3 turkish coats. Two black and one white.

After being away at our annual Rowany festival, and giving the dress I brought with me to a friend who wanted a pretty dress to ware, then living in my coat and a chemise for the 36 hour duration. I have to say that I was very comfy, and very very warm, silk taffeta lining, and very stylish for wandering about in my undies.

It was the coat I made for my wedding, it was very pretty. I am only slightly biased in that point. lol

Have fun with finishing it.

Thanks! The prototype I made last year (and will wear this year) is very comfy. The main things I had to change were the width (it's a bit big) and the length (my Mom is petite :-) ). I'll probably make a couple more just to wear at Pennsic along with my front lacing gowns.
