Close up of the buttons on the gown. You can see the hand sewn buttonholes. I actually did a lot of hand sewing with the dress because of the bag lining. The neckline/front is all hand sewn to the lining and the sleeves are hand sewn closed.

The blue peacock 1550's ish Italian. For some reason, one side of the dress likes to "bend". And then there were the strap problems but that's easily fixed. I do have matching sleeves for the gown but it was too warm for the peacock feather sleeves.

Thanks! I hope to get pictures of me wearing the dress properly soon. It's self supporting which is really nice and the neckline is one of those flattering ones.

We're not sure about SJ yet. We really want to go because one of our local fencers is going to be fighting for his yellow scarf - but finances are tight, and the site doesn't allow animals, so we'd have to board the dog. I'm leaning towards going anyway, but we're not definite yet.

It's not the site but the local barony that doesn't allow animals. It really irks me too because Ginsie had a blast last year and I don't think there was a person there that didn't enjoy seeing the pup in her garb.
I'm probably going to leave the pup with Mom & Dad and camp at the event. I need to get my registration in I guess if I'm going to do that, huh? :-D
