I SAW Pennsic. I drove right by it twice. My mom and I drove up to western NY to visit the relatives and we ended up going by Pennsic. In many ways, it was destressing. I wanted to stop. Mom said we could. The only problem; no garb. If my brain had been in gear when we left, I would have thrown a couple of bodices and a couple of skirts in my suitcase and we would have stopped. Afterall, even if dogs aren't allowed, Ginsie is a fashion accessory not a pup. :-) But my brain was not in gear upon leaving the house and I only had jeans and some hot topic t-shirts. I don't think that would go over well at an SCA event. The funny thing, it was mom who was pointing out all the people in garb as we passed by. "Oh look! They are in garb!" she kept saying. I might be wearing off after all. ;-) I did get some cute things while up in NY. My cousins and I raided and pillaged the local Wally World since the closest one here in about a half hour away. I bought up a bunch of trims that were on clearance and some nice tan cotton gauze. Taking Kara's suggestion, it will be a skirt. I think it will look great as an under or overskirt for my 9/11 renn garb. I just need to finish it all up! I'll post some pictures later. I love my great Aunt's, but I swear I feel like I'm in a time warp every time I go there. No computers, basic cable; it's the early to mid 1980's. Hmmm...maybe I should wear my jelly bracelets and neon banana clip next time.....:-p
