isabelladangelo 1. How did you get involved with Black Spear?
I really wanted to go to Pennsic a couple of years ago back when I lived in/near Roxbury Mills's boundries. I contacted Storvik and was told to talk to the then Baron and Baroness of Storvik, Sean and Bess. Sean told me to come over on one of the "at home" days and I talked to everyone. Since most of the guys there are navy or otherwise military, well, I'm a Navy brat and in the federal government so I fit in pretty well. :-)
2. Is there any award in the SCA that you think you should have?
Oh, the dangerous question. I'll just say "yes" and leave it at that. Anymore and I'll never ever see anything resembling a scroll again. :-)
3. Do you or have you ever dressed early period?
Yes! I've done Viking, 13th c Italian, 12th c Anglo-Saxon, and I will be doing 14th c English at Highland River...which I guess isn't really early period but it's earlier than I normally do.
4. How did you class at Sapphire go?
For a 10 am class on a Saturday before court? Great! I had three people show up and ask questions, play with dresses, and I think I at least convinced one that early 16th c Italian is the way to go for summer weather.
5. How long have you been in the SCA?
Three or four years now. I did some historical re-enacting before the SCA though.
