Highland River

I'm starting to think of NOT going. The main is reason is the Potomac Celtic Festival is also on the 14th. The pros going to the Celtic Festival is that it's a heck of a lot bigger, it's about the same distance, only a few dollars more, can still wear garb, has a TON of live music, and, oh yeah, I CAN BRING MY DOG BECAUSE IT'S A FREAKIN' PARK! ::sighs::
Don't worry, not going into that rant again, but I will say that the Celtic Festival is very tempting right now. Honestly, the only reasons to go to Highland River are because I'll see a few people that I haven't seen in a while and I can enter my bag into the comp. But then again, I can also give the bag over to someone else who is going this week and still have it entered into the comp, I think...right? So I really wouldn't have to be there. Yes, I know it's better if I am but why bother with $8 to go to a public park that is being billed as a Renaissance Festival anyway when I can go the southern route, pay $16 and go to an even bigger Renaissance (Celtic) Festival? I think it might be worth the extra $8 to bring Miss Ginsie and still be in garb....
