So, a couple of weeks ago I started to feel like I had a hair stuck in my throat. Even though I'd try to drink stuff to get rid of it, nothing seemed to work...so I ignored it.
Well, yesterday, it started to bother me so much I decided to take a look while I brushed my teeth in the morning. Much to my surprise, I saw a lump and a white bump. The white bump is now gone but the lump is still there.
Now, I'm 99% sure that this is just my tonsil on my left side growing back. (I wish it would have stayed away) However, given my lovely family history (Leukemia, breast cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, we are pretty bad in the waist and above cancer department....) and my own episode of benign tumors a few years ago on my thyroid, I'm going to demand some sort of test (biopsy!) on it. After all, I've heard of both tonsils growing back but just one? That, and I had my tonsils out when I was 4. I think if they'd grow back, they would have done it LONG before now.
So, yes, I'm going to the doctor. I'm going on Friday. Like I said, it's probably just my left tonsil deciding to regenerate and make an appearance. However, I hated my tonsils when I was 3/4, and I really don't like it now so I might ask for it to be taken away again. Slurrpies for the week!!!!

Nope, I've had stuff stuck in my throat before. I've been reading up and it sounds more and more like a stupid tonsil growing back. However, in all the stuff I've read, both tonsils grow back and typically within a year or two of the operation...not 25 years or so later. But then again my body is craZy so if it is just a tonsil, I'm not surprised...I just want it gone...again.
