5,000 gallons of molasses spill on Texas highway

SUGAR LAND, Texas (AP) - A sticky mess has been cleaned up after an overturned tanker truck poured 5,000 gallons of molasses onto a major Texas highway.

Drivers heading to Sugar Land were rerouted Thursday after the afternoon accident shut down Texas 6 at Southwest Freeway for eight hours.

City of Sugar Land spokeswoman Pat Pollicoff told The Houston Chronicle the road was closed until midnight Thursday because of the coating of "healthy, all natural molasses." The spilled molasses was supposed to be used in cattle food.

The 26-year-old driver of the truck, Joe Albert Loya, was taken to a hospital with minor head injuries

Now, my question is this: Given the good ole phrase "Slower than molasses in January", can we now test to see if molasses is, in fact, quick under the hot Texas sun in July? I see scientfic possibilities here people....

2)Ginsie seems to be okay this morning. I called up Mom and told her about the seizure. Mom wants to take Ginsie for the week next week. As much as I hate not having my pup around, I also know that staying at home all day while I'm at work, after she's had a seizure like that isn't good either. If she has another seizure, it's typically a few days later (like 4~6 days), which would put it in the middle of next week. So, she'll probably be over at Mom & Dad's next week.

3) I played with the embroidery program last night. That was interesting. I'm going to play with it more tonight and then attempt to sewing something else on that machine...while doing my sleeve, of course.

Poor Miss Ginsie :( I hope she feels better.

Seizures are very scary.

Oh I hope she is better. I hate when puppies don't feel well.

What design software and embroidery machine are you using?

I'm using a Janome 300 E Memory Craft. The software is just whatever was preloaded on to the laptop and came with the machine. All I wanted to do last night is take an embroidery design and shrink it...a lot. It wouldn't let me. I also wanted to take out the fill and it wouldn't let me do that either. I was not amused. So, tonight, I'm going to try something else and see if I can get the unicornate hippocampus to line up properly and have the details actually go around the edges of the fill....I doubt it will work but I'll try.

We use to have that machine and the software. We ended up upgrading to a better machine and software because of the limitations. What is the file extension for the machine? We can design for several different machines. I know that Peter sent Sean a copy of the Spike that he wants used for the army stuff and it is a pretty cool one and it is saved for the right file extension.

That's the one he probably sent on to me with the *.sew extension. The problem was that it was too big (22000 stiches with a 59 min complete time) and didn't fit in the A size frame. I tried to resize it and the program did not like that at all. There is another one that isn't as pretty in the machine that I need to get out on to the card and see if I can tweek it. It looks okay (it's the white ones) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jubileel/2675394179/) but the outline is just off.
