In case anyone missed it Ginsie is okay now but that was not fun.
I added the bias tape to all the sleeve panels for the Eleanor dress. I just have to hand sew the back of the bias tape which doesn't take long at all. Since it's just a whip stitch too, I can take a few panels with me on the metro.
Got Mom her cot for Pennsic. I like her cot a lot more than I like mine. Hers folds up into a carry bag and is about a normal bed height. Mine is super low to the ground and impossible for one person to put together. However, mine was $25 or so and hers is twice that so you get what you pay for. Oh well, hopefully I'll get the trailer all done this fall and I won't need a cot next year. :-)
Saw the X-files movie. It was both good and bad. I think if they stuck with the X-files part of it, it would have been great. However, there was just too much of the "I'm not sure this would happen given the way the characters were originally played out". And what is up with W VA? I know about the Mothman and all but is it just pysho/weirdo central? Really. Can't we have something weird happen like in Florida? After all, that's were all the really odd news stories come from....

Date: 2008-07-28 02:08 pm (UTC)I think the entire experiance scared her. She's been sitting in my lap volunteerily and normally she hates that. (She thinks she's a big dog and not a lap dog.) She also doesn't give me the "You talkin' to me?" look when I call her since this happened.

Date: 2008-07-28 02:14 pm (UTC)I agree with the critics that said it's an elongated episode. That's all it was. It's not nearly as gripping as the last one (FEMA! The X-Files knew it was the root of all evil long before anyone else!) but it's okay. I was really hoping for something a bit *more* and this just wasn't it.
Of course, the way my story would go is that the expementers find Scully again after Scully and Mulder got really drunk in Vegas and Mulder thought it would be cool to get married next to ST the experiance before it's taken out. Mulder goes through the angst of seeing his love being taken like his sister was, and they give Scully back the ovaries with possible genetic munilpulation. Mulder finds her and vows revenge only to find that it was Skinner that told the experimenters to give back to Scully everything that had taken from her.
Now that would be my version of the X-files. :-)
