Happy Twenty Ten!

I stayed up just long enough to see 2010 roll in. It was sort of funny because I was over at a family friend's house and all the little ones were chanting the countdown. Once the ball dropped, all the older adults started singing along with "New York, New York"...and they all knew all the words. Those of us in the middle just shook our heads and drank more wine. :-)





The Washington Monument and the National Mall still covered in snow. I walked all through downtown DC on Christmas Eve and took random pictures of the snow or other things I thought were interesting.



I loved the way the sun looked against this poor guy. It was clear he was dead tired. But the colors he was wearing and his skin/hair color really made him look like a bronze statue. I almost wanted to nudge him just to make sure he wasn't!

I have a few more pictures up on my Flickr account. Some are, of course, better than others. Now to go play with my new camera!!!! Happy 2010!
