Silly stuff and minor update

Evidence that, even in the past, sometimes, people really did use grandma's bed sheets to make clothing. ...Or Mom's. In fact, I think my mom has a quilt with that exact upper print... I wonder if she'll let me turn it into a petticoat...

Anyway, sewing! The stays are coming along nicely thus far. However, I have gotten very distracted by this. I have fabric that is only two tones light than that. I have a corset front that would work beautifully for the under corset front.... And windows? And buttons? ...When I finish this pair of stays, I might just have to try my hand at making this other pair.

Oooh! Those stays are gorgeous... FIT has a similar pair that laces up over the stomacher done in a pink silk brocade from 1700-1720, I'll see if I can dig up a picture.

Oh! That would be awesome if you could find that. I just need to get the stays that are under the sewing machine right now done and then I can play with this set. :-)
