Anyone know of a good place to get a sewing machine fixed?

I just got the estimate on how much it would be to fix the sewing machines...$99 for one and $129 for the other! That's how much these things COST originally!!!!! So, I might just give up on getting them fixed and buy a new one. ....maybe that embroidery machine I've had my eye on...

It's a sad thing that in our throw-away society it's cheaper to buy something new than it is to fix it. I think it's sad, anyway. And there go the land-fills...

I have a Brother sewing machine. If I don't work on my quilt before the end of August, I can lend it to you. I got it from my cousin. Brand new.

Thanks. I did order an old but in good condition industrial sewing machine. That way I can at least finish the tent and work on some projects. What I want to get is a nice embroidery/sewing machine that can work anything from organza to velvet. The industrial can handle the velvet on up fabrics...
