Sewing Question
Feb. 1st, 2010 04:54 pmWhich project should I do? I want to wear something "new" for Love and Beauty (SCA Event on the 20th) but I'm thinking just wearing my "new" Pink linen Italian gown with maybe a velvet late 15th c styled "cape" (a la Saint Lucy) would work. That wouldn't take long and it would be fine for an event that is typically COLD.
The other outfit I want to work on is a new Italian Turkish coat since my old one is way too big. That would be for Feb 27th (Day in the Middle East).
Now, what I originally wanted to do is make a nice gray velvet doublet gown for Love and Beauty but I think that might take a bit and then I wouldn't have time (I don't think) for the new Turkish coat. This is all assuming I don't finish up with my current 18th century project in the next couple of days. Grr....
So, I guess my question is, should I go ahead with the doublet gown idea and just see how much time I have for the Turkish coat or just go with a simpler project so that I will definitely have time for the Turkish coat?
