Costuming post!
Feb. 6th, 2010 10:50 pmI've been working on my late 18th century gown and I cut out the muslin today. I'm using the Mill farm pattern but I've heavily edited it. I wanted to give the back a bit more proper styling and I've been trying to sew up the muslin like it was the lining for the gown. Since I've done that, I'm still not sure about how it's coming out. Since I don't have my dress dummy I can't check it out on something other than me. :-)
The width is right but the length looks funny beneath the arms and all. I might just give up and do that pattern like it's supposed to be done. Of course, I might also give up and just do my own pattern.... Has anyone used the Mill Farm Robe Polonaise pattern before? Like it? Hate it?
