Storvik Unbelt & Feast

I had a blast on Saturday at the tournament and feast. I did enter my 11th century gown I hand sewed for the crusades competition as well as my second attempt at spinning for the novice stuff. One person threated to steal the gown while the another threatened to take the shawl I knitted out of my second attempt at spinning. :-) Either person is welcome to borrow the items.
I sat around with the lemonade stand most of the day. I also went over to the Hearld to get my stuff registered but I didn't have my checkbook. However, he filled out all the paperwork for me so all I have to do is copy it and send it off with the cheque.
The only thing that bothered me, and bothered everyone I was sitting with at feast, was the fact a 10th century Rosary won the crusades competition. Two problems; a) the Crusades didn't start until very late in the 11th c and b) the Rosary wasn't around until the 15th c. Yes, they had prayer beads long before that but not a Rosary. So no one could figure out how that person won.
Moving on, Feast was excellent. I honestly hadn't intended to stay for feast but when I got there I figured I'd might and then I just kinda stayed. Among the many items we had was garlic bread, pickles, pickled beets, pickles artichokes, Chicken with Orange sauce, Roast Beef, Mushrooms, lentils, orange and lemon salad, bread pudding, pistachio sauce, and a bunch of other stuff. I was stuffed by the time I left. It was really good.
I had wanted to go to fells point with a few others, but by the time 2 and 3 rolled around, I was probably half asleep at the lemonade stand very comfortably in my lil wooden chair. I'll see y'all in late August which is only a few weeks away! ::hugs::
