Got that dress that needs a hem? What about that long seam you thought you finished? Have fabric and need to make a new pair of sleeves five minutes before court? Apparently, these are no longer "Tough, just deal" situations anymore. There is such a thing as battery operated sewing machines. The most perfect Pennsic/Con/name your favorite "Oh! Pretties! Dress up time!" event accessory. Honestly, I think I need one for Pennsic.
In sleek black and only $20
Unpainted Silver and the same as the one above, I think
Euro Pro at $40 I think I might actually get this one because I know Euro Pro's and this would be awesome for those "Doh! I thought I finished that!" moments when it's 8 am and you are trying to decided what to wear for the day.
I know none of these are for heavy "let's make a full 'Bethan!" sewing but all would be *perfect* for the "I need to hem it back up, again!" stuff that we all have had to deal with, I'm sure. In fact, I don't think I know of anyone that hasn't had a sewing emergency at some point during a garb/costume event. This is far faster than yanking out the sewing kit and sitting there for an hour trying to hand stitch back up the sleeves you have to tear apart...
