isabelladangelo: (Ever After Question Look)

Does anyone know where there is a more detailed picture of this painting?

It *looks* like she has a dark apron, a gray dress, and a pink underdress with the gray dress split down the front but it's really hard to tell given how small the picture is.

If it's Campi, it's not Flemish. He worked in Cremona and surroundings in Italy. However, her outfit look less Italian than his "typical" Cremonese ladies. Compare to these:

The style also look stiffer, in a way. So maybe it's a follower of Campi instead? I wish there were a bigger version too!

Yeah, the style itself makes me think not Campi and the page mentions they thought it was someone else before. I could go with a follower.

I'm very curious in the dress. If no one knows of a bigger version, I'll just email the museum and see if they can tell me more/send a bigger picture.

Yeah, I'll second this. Campi's work tends to be softer and more fluid - this is very stiff and almost formal. It's pretty, but at first blush I wouldn't say it's a Campi.
