Thanks to msmcknittington's suggestion, I'm looking over possible Belle's Pink Dress ideas. It seems...there are a lot out there.

Generic 18th Century

Another generic 18th Century but in red and gold

The video at the bottom of this page shows the actress (I think?) holding up the pink dress from the Broadway production.

I'm thinking of something like this for the bodice/jacket in a dark pink with a light pink lining for the collar and a flounced pink petticoat to match. I'm not sure yet though. Still looking and trying to decide -go with the Broadway original or re-interpret the cartoon...
