24 hours and...
Sep. 10th, 2006 04:38 pmno more seizures! It seems the medicine is working. Ginsie had another seizure at 4:50 am on Saturday and yet another at 2:40 pm. The neurologist (yes, I took the pup to a neurologist) said she's most likely just an epiletic dog and that the meds (potassium bromide) should help. I gave her 16mm last night with her dinner and I swear that she looked like herself again within 5 minutes. She went from dazed and confused to "Hi, Mom. I hate this stuff but I feel much better" look.
So, while I'm at home making sure she doesn't have another seizure, I'm thinking of getting my pup a registered name in the SCA. Yes, I know, it's silly. But I've seen far sillier in the SCA. Since she's a dog and therefore will only listen to her own name once in a blue moon, I figured I'd try and find something as close to Ginsie as possible. The closest I've found is actually Japanese, Gin-Shi which means Silver Child. Yes, it's a girls name and it's period. :-) So, y'all think I get Miss Ginsie's SCA name passed? ::very big evil grin:: ...and, oh yes, I thought up a device as well.
