Day one ish Las Vegas

isabelladangeloMy feet hate me. If, at Pennsic, I basically sit around or ride around in the golf carts, y'all will know why.
But first, a cute moment! According to Mom, Miss Ginsie has decided to sleep in Marxer's room. If Marxer leaves, so does Ginsie! They've apparently become best buds. Marxer loves this and keeps telling "Aunt" Ginsie that he loves her while petting her. :-)
Okay, meanwhile, back in Vegas, I forgot my walking shoes. Of all the shoes to forget! Now my heels are cut up (no surprise there) and I've got blisters. Of course, it might be because I decided to walk all up and down the south part of the strip. From the Bellagio down to the MGM and in and out of various other casinos/malls/hotel. I got my Hard Rock Cafe Teddy Bear (very important), a super cute dress that looks sort of like Alice's in Twilight, band-aids, and a ton of food at walmart.
The hotel staff at the Vdara are super nice. Professional but cheerful. Far better than the crew on my Airtran flight to Milwaukee. Yeah, the guy was a jerk because he didn't comprehend that "turn off all electronic devices" meant his cell phone and laptop but they called down the plane, pointing to him, and called him out. It was just completely unprofessional. The way the stewardesses spoke on the first flight was just all together uncomfortable. The second flight was way better.
Anyway, I've been exploring a bit and my feet did not like that. They'll probably like it even less tomorrow when I go to see the Grand Canyon!
It's really fun how many people of complemented me on my parasol. I'm not the only one carrying an umbrella/parasol -it's sort of a logic thing in the desert- but mine is clearly a parasol and not going to help with the rain. A lot of guys have been stopping me as well as fellow girls. The girls at the Hard Rock were the most fun though. They said they loved my entire outfit -just a simple gray tank with a pink fairy on it, pink short sleeved shrug, pink sunglasses, jeans, and a pink parasol; I need to match, ya know-. I told them that I carry the parasol because it's cheaper than sunscreen -they nodded knowingly to that with a "I know that's right!" :-D
I'm staying in and letting my feet up tonight. It's partly to let my feet heal but also because I need to wake up at five am to catch the bus to the Grand Canyon.
