Corset Week

isabelladangeloI started on re-doing my old corset and it's honestly coming along well. I hand sewed most (all?) of the original corset so I'm doing that again.
After that is done, I need to get to work on my red Elizabethan stays for Sunday. My old ones fell apart last year. I'm machine sewing them (yes, I know; it's backwards. machine sewing the 16th c garment but hand sewing the late 19th c one? It's because the late 19th c has a lot less boning channels.)
I also need to make a mock up of my SIL's outfit. I'm think Venetian/ later Italian for her. It's green. Brocade. Very lovely stuffs.
Anyway, that's for this week. Next week will be getting the bustle dress itself done. This should be an interesting couple of weeks! And two more stupid embroideries to go! yay!
