I found my red stays, finally. They were with the never finished Regency coat from last year and my tape measure I lost. yay! I did start to work on the coat last night -and it's coming along- but I realized it was past 10 and I had to do sleeves. I looked at the sleeves and knew that that was a very bad idea. So I might finish them up later today before the kids come or hold off for another week on the project. It's been sitting for a year. It can sit for another week.
I wore my Red Regency to work. It has a couple of minor issues (the ribbon in the bodice fell out so I have to put that back) but that's it. It's now in the "need to fix" pile since I'm home early.
I'm home early because a) I don't feel great; I think it's allergies b)the computers at work were taking upwards of 15 minutes just to open an email; real productivity there, I tell you, and c) it's Halloween. I had no desire to be at work even without reasons a and b.
This afternoon, I think I"ll wear my red and white striped faux 18th century gown. It's comfy, I can wear my quilted petticoat beneath it, and I can say that I'm various 18th Century figures just to confuse the kids. :-)
