Random stuff
Dec. 20th, 2011 12:34 pmThis is a thinking out-loud post. :-)
I really want to recreate Anna's dress from Van Helsing for the Tiaras and Jampagne party at Dress U. I found a tiara that should work well. It's not exact -the original is all stars- but it looks close enough to
work. I'm considering getting this for the front of the gown. Again, it's not exact (at all) but I think it might work. While attempting to find stuff on the horrible new Met search site (btw, their email for complaining about the search is web.site@metmuseum.org), I saw this dress which might have been the original inspiration for the gown. If you take off the sleeves and add some bullion embroidery, it looks very similar.
For various 18th C events coming up, I sort of like this
dress. It's velvet. This means WARM! I need warm for the winter months.
BTW, I have no idea when I'll make this, but this pink and black
dress is mine! That is all. :-)
EDIT: Sorry! I sent it via email originally and I didn't realize how messed up the format was until late last night.
