I'm sick. I woke up this morning, called in, and crashed. I woke up again at 11, went to the post office to mail a package up and pick up my saris, came home...crashed again around 1. I just woke up a half hour ago. I'm going to try to eat something.
Now, enough with the whining. The shoes I bought? The pretty blue ones with the Chinese writing? I got them in the mail today. I *think* they are from the teens era. In China, lotus feet or bound feet were banned in 1912. They weren't completely eradicated until 1949. However, based on the style of the shoe, I'm thinking these are from the time when women unbound their feet in the 1910's. The shoes are just small enough, but western enough looking, that the time table would make sense. A bound foot was about 3" - 3 1/2". Once women went through the very painful process of unbinding their feet, they could grow another inch or two.
Anyway, I'll work on the mock up tomorrow, hopefully.
