Shopping and stuff

I need to make this. It's red and pink and renaissancy and Edwardian and created by Paul Poiret so I totally need to recreate it. I have no idea where I'd wear it, but it needs to be made.
Today, I went shopping after work. I finally found a pair of sensible black Mary Janes (not flats, not Drag Queen platforms, not hooker heels, just a nice reasonable slight heel) for work. My old pair are on their last legs so I'm really happy I found a new pair (on sale! 60% off! yay!). I also bought a pair of vans tennis shoes with a Hello Kitty print because how can you not? I swear, it's not possible. I also bought matching socks for those.
I got some random stuff at Hot Topic - like black tights with green skulls for Saint Patrick's Day. I think I need to make a new black skirt to match. Hmm..
Which would mean more fabric! Which brings me to the fabric I got today - the gold brocade for the Snow White skirt. It's fabulous. It's lighter than in the ebay pictures - and lighter than the original- but the flowers are actually a wonderful pink that will go really well with the bubble gum pink silk taffeta I plan onmaking Mom buy when she's in LA getting.
Still haven't gotten the green Edwardian looking shoes yet. They are stuck in Indiana for some reason. The seller did mail them- it's the post office that is evil.
