I didn't get to work on the purple dress - honestly, I've been tired. Stupid seasonal allergies and all that. And since it's 10 am, I doubt I'll get to go to the SCA event. I'm just going to have to contact the Kingdom Basket coordinator and see if I can priority mail her everything I have. I'm a bit upset about waking up too late to go (I need to be somewhere else this afternoon! I even have orders!) but I also was not looking forward to being in the sun on a possible 100+F day.

EDIT: Turns out, since I seem to be the only person in a 30 mile radius WITH power after last night T-storm, the event got canceled. I just checked my email. So now, I don't feel nearly as bad!

So, sorry to anyone who I was going to see at the SCA event today! This fall I'll be much more active - I hope! And then I can sew up and wear the wool dress...

Glad you still have power! My building does, but all the traffic lights were out this morning when I went to the barn. And then the barn didn't have power or phone.

The storm really cut through the entire region. Sounds like quite a few people will be w/o power for days - which is NOT good in this heat. I saw traffic lights out all over the place yesterday through out MD and VA. It was a complete mess. I've seen snowstorms with less of an impact than this 30 minute t-storm had.
