My power went out today for a couple of hours but it's nothing. They were just rerouting the powerlines. I did get a phone call from the power company asking for everyone to keep the a/c at 78 and turn off all unnecessary lights. That is a first for me. It also means the storm did a heck of a lot of damage to the lines -probably because no one has been cutting back the trees or brush lately due to the budget shortfalls.

My parents do not have power and, despite living only a mile -if that- from the DC border, they aren't expected to get it back until Friday. My brother and SIL also don't have power. I might *demand* they come over tomorrow given the little ones. The basement in their house is fine for now but I have a/c. And a fridge.

Really, other than the storm damage, not much is going on. I did learn it is exactly 68.7 miles from my door to [livejournal.com profile] jennylafleur's driveway. I was playing with the controls in my new truck.

I bought some lovely hot pink trim with black lace over it. I'm thinking bustle dress because it screams bustle. Actually, I think the trim just screams. It's a very bright pink. ;-)

I'll try to actually work on a couple of projects tomorrow. We'll see. I know there is some Bastille Day stuff going on up in PA...where is everyone meeting and time? I think I might be able to go now.

I don't know about details yet...the street fair's the afternoon of the 14th, so I would guess we'll end up dressing at somebody's house and carpooling, but I don't know for sure!

Cool! I'm sure the details will come during the last minute mad sewing sessions. ;-)

I'm going up for Bastille day--probably driving up Saturday morning, staying at my parents' house in the suburbs (Bryn Mawr, not far from the highway). You're welcome to come to their house to change, if you want.
