Bastille Day

I know it's really hard to think that it might be COOL on the 14th, but right now, the weather reports look to be a high of 83 for that day in Philadelphia. Considering it's 9:30 pm and 93F right now outside here in Maryland, 83 sounds very very cold. ;-)

I'm going to wear my blue and white 1790's as a back up (what I wore to the March Tea. Anyone up for an August tea?) but I'll try to make a jacket or maybe a round gown before next Saturday.

I know, right? That's what I thought when I looked at the Philly weather report. Positively temperate at 80-something.

I'm plugging along on a new dress for Bastille Day right now, we'll see if it actually gets finished.

Also, you are still welcome to dress at my parents' house. You can probably also crash there as well, I'd just need to ask my dad to be sure (they have a three bedroom house just for the two of them).

I'm always up for a tea, scheduling permitting. I've got a wedding August 11-12, then a birthday party August 26.

Are you planning on staying over at your parents'? I'd probably need to head home after, but it might be fun to meet up at your parents house to change (so I don't have to drive in stays) and then head over to the event together?

(I read Kat's post so now I have a better idea about the event. :-) )

Sure, shouldn't be a problem for you to change at my parents' house. My plan was to drive up in the morning, then change there. They are located in Bryn Mawr. They live in a small residential neighborhood, so people can park on the street, then we can go in one car downtown.

The Bastille Day things sounds fun! I'm tempted to try to go but I have so much stuff to do here before our trip at the end of the month! Glad it will be cool weather though!

I might be up for an August tea if it's mid-month!

Or, I guess, if Gloria is staying up there, you can always drive back down with me. I'm not planning on staying overnight - just until after dinner (I think). Ginsie will need her meds. My new truck is much bigger on the inside. And it's Tardis colored!
