I know a lot of people over the past couple of days have had their emails hacked. I'm trying to create a list now that it's gotten pretty bad. If you have gotten hacked, or if you are on a list where people have gotten hacked, can you email me? isabelladangelo at gmail dot com works.

If you have gotten hacked, I'd like to know:

• Your OLD password (since you'll have to change it anyway...I'm trying to figure out if it's something like simple passwords or something more sinister)


• The email address that got hacked


• How long you've had that email address?


• When was the last time you used that email address?


• What link was sent out (it's okay to copy and paste; just don't click on it again!)?


• If you clicked on a link in an email sent to you without any descriptors of the link prior to your email being compromised


• What lists were spammed?

If you are on a list or are friends with someone that got hacked:

• Please copy and paste this entire post and send it to the list or the person that got hacked. Also, feel free to repost to your own journal. I am going to try and investigate this one.


• What is the name and email address of the person and/or list that was compromised?


• What link was sent out (do not click it, please. Just copy and paste it)?


• Time that you received the hacked email? (It should be somewhere on the email itself. If you can't find it, just copy and paste all the headers, please)

If anyone can think of anything else that you believe might be important, please include it. You are welcome to just forward me the compromised emails - it might be helpful- as I'm starting to collect a list and see if there is any connecting thread other than a bunch of re-enacting sites seem to have been hit.
