What I'm up to right now...
Sep. 11th, 2005 07:37 pm| So today was, of course, 9/11. I recieved a lot of compliments on my patrotic peasant garb. I'll post some pictures later of some of the more interesting characters and their garb (or lack of it!). I think more people liked my peasant garb of today than my blue italian garb yesterday. I am working on garb and lots of it. I recieved a largeish order for a lady who wants her son to be dressed up at Robin Hood and her daughters to be Ladies in Waiting for Halloween. I managed to get some beautiful uncut corduroy for the boy's jerkin and some lovely satin for one of the girls gowns. I'm still waiting to find the "prefect" fabric for the other girls gown. I'm rather excited about it. I'm still finishing up the commisioned gown. I hated the way the skirt came out so I took it completely apart and redid it. I'd much rather get the gown there a bit later than I said rather than it looking funny. It looks gorgeous now and I just need to hand sew up the rest tonight so I can mail it out in the morning. For the hairstick people, I will start on the red and black italian tomorrow or tuesday. I swear. Really. I'm very determined. |

Oh well, next weekend is Scottish Weekend so it's a matter of whether to wear the purple Scottish outfit or the Red Irish outfit first.....
