One month until my next vacation! And this time....I'm going to Disney Land!!!! Yes, Disney land...okay....so it's....Euro Disney! :-) It counts! Plus, I'm going to London (can we say V & A Museum?) and taking the chunnel, first class, to Euro Disney. I'm going with my Dad (he has a conferance in London and then in Paris) so basically I get the days to do whatever I please. He agreed to stay in Paris an extra day so I could go to the Louve (i've been to the Eiffle Tower already. Man, climbing up those stairs STILL gives me nightmares! And that was a good 10 years ago!) Is my inner geek showing yet when all I want to do is go see museums?

Miss Ginsie saves the day!
Aug. 21st, 2006 12:31 pmOkay, so not really, but she was a VERY good little puppy dog today. As most people that live in the area know, there is a HUGE rat problem in DC...no, not the lawyer kind although we have that too... The furry, size of a small dog, long pink tail kind of rat. My dad caught two last week and drowned them. Well, today, my brave Miss Ginsie found one!
As some of you know, Miss Ginsie likes to give me presents. Yes, she is a cat in dog's clothing. Well, she gave me, today, a baby rat. I'm not really sure if it was a baby since it was the size of a full grown plus some field mouse and had fur but she did catch and bring it to me. She found it beneath the air conditioner unit outside and from the way she is sniffing, I think there might be a couple of more in the drainage pipe out back.
She gave me the rat, half alive (to which she was disappointed. She likes to "play" with her presents. Did I mention I think she is really a cat that looks like a dog?). I managed to get it into a box before it died and throw it away.
Ginsie did get a greenie for her catching the evil little thing. I did give Shiloh a milky bone just so he wouldn't be overly jealous. He can smell the rats out there, he's just not good at catching anything.
