Jeans at work!
Jan. 5th, 2010 02:07 pmYes, I can wear jeans to work for the next couple of weeks. Woohoo! This means no more trying to figure out what outfit coordinates right in the morning. After all, jeans go with everything! And I am so wearing sweatshirts too. Okay, so they are my nice jacket style ones because it gets freezing cold in the office but still, I'm happy.
We just had to donate money to wear jeans for the next few days. If a few bucks means I have that less thinking to do in the morning, I'm all for it.
The 5 cents for a bag in DC. Cute when it's for groceries, not so much for lunches. I don't mind but I've heard several people complain LOUDLY today to the poor restaurant owners. Umm, it's a DC law. I knew about it. I'm going to be making my own lunch a lot more partially because of this and partially because it's cheaper and less fattening. I really feel bad for the owners of the eating establishments around here since their main source of revenue isn't from people that live in the District but from those of us that live in either MD or VA.
I'm going to work on some sewing tonight. I still can't decide whether to experiment trying to do the stays in silk -again- or just go with cotton. I know if I go with a cheap material I don't care about, they'll actually fit because that's murphy's law. Of course, I also won't be working on them for two years this time and lose 40 odd pounds in the process.....
