It was GORGEOUS this morning. The sun was shining. I didn't need my coat. I wore my sunglasses while coming into work. I was quite pleased.

...it's now dark, dank, and miserable out. It's cold which isn't nice when it's wet and even less nice when you didn't bring your coat into work because, oh yeah, it was 62 or so when you left and you were already wearing a jacket so what was the point? ....I'm just a tad bit grumpy about this. ...and to top it all off, my fingernails are now purple because I'm so cold and I didn't bring in my gloves! Ugh!

I know! It was so nice this am we opened all the windows and turned off the heat, thinking it would be a gorgeous day. Instead it just got nastier and the temp dropped steadily all day. So now the house is freezing and it's gloomy outside. Oh and here comes my headache du jour.

I've decided I don't like spring.

It's a very uncontrollable season. I don't like this snow! it's 70! ...why is it 40 and raining? Again? weather. It's very disconcerting.

I like summer with it's T-storms and fall with all the pretty colors. Spring you *might* get some pretty flowers but all the tree right now still look dead. It's just not pretty...especially when your fingernails are still purple. ;-)

This is why I turn on the Weather channel every morning before we head out for the day.

I just saw in your profile that you went to Holy Child. My sister and cousin went there too, Class of 86 and my brothers went to St. John’s. And I went to MCC in Rockville from 85 to 87 as a Technical Theater major.

Let me know if I can help you with the Twilight fic Cake Walk. I’m really enjoying it. I’ve friended you by the way.

Cool! I love the sorting hat cake and a lot of the other designs. I'm thinking I might borrow the white cake with the red bow design for the fic, if you don't mind. That looks like something Esme might try...

I went there for two years before I pretty much got kicked out. :-) Apparently, they don't like Victorian style boots and spending most of your time in the library giggling over "Hitchhicker's Guide".

Thanks! I’ve made 3 of the sorting hat cakes now. The last one was the best by far, but I didn’t get any good pictures of that one. I took it to the HP convention in Canada in Aug of 07. Go right ahead and borrow any of the cake designs that catch your eye. Let me know if you want to know how any of them were made. The bow on the top of that one has to be done ahead of time so it can harden and dry. The ribbon that goes down the sides has to be done right on the cake or it will crack when it bends around the edge of the cake. If you need any technical terms or “how to” information feel free to ask.

Yeah I dodged the catholic school shtick. I was the only one in my family to go to public school until my baby brother left St. John’s. Kicked out for Victorian boots?! If the Victorian’s were not conservative I don’t know who is. You’d think they have wanted everyone to wear them. They’d have looked great with the yellow pleated skirts.
