isabelladangelo: (Winter Castle)

another 10" to 20" of snow is expected with this storm. I'm really having too much fun with this stuff. I know a lot of people are grumbly about it but, honestly? It's snow. There isn't a thing you can do about it so why not enjoy it? It's pretty, it's way too much fun to watch the animals try to play in, and I'm loving watching the cars attempt to drive up the my parents street. A plow got stuck and couldn't make it up the street. Honestly, if the plow didn't make it, what makes anyone think their little 2-wheel drive vehicle will?

the only bad thing is that it's eating into my vacation time! Since i'm a contractor, things happen differently. I get paid for time worked..if i don't work..i get no money!

:-( Another reason to stay a gov't employee, I guess.

But, to me, this is what winter should be! Snow, snow, and more snow!

I would have significantly less problem with the snow if I didn't work way out in the sticks in Loudoun County (and because I'm hourly no salaried, I don't get paid if I don't work)

Though some of my friends posted an insanely cute video of their Corgi trying to play in the snow in their backyard--the snow was taller than he was! So cute! :-P

Ack--I'm worried about 50, which is how I get from Fairfax out to Loudoun.
(And apparently Loudoun has canceled school for the rest of the week...that's really not making me want to brave the raods to get out there to work!)

Yeah, they've closed down the post I work on tomorrow too. I can't even begin to imagine how my boss who lives in WV plans on getting anywhere any time soon!

Someone else on my f-list traveled on 7 today and said it was pretty bad - one lane and barely even that in places.

That's not good. I NEED to get out tomorrow and get to the teeter on ashburn village..that's the closest store for me. I have most things, but i'm running low on others.

Plus i've been snowed in since FRIDAY..i'm going a little nuts!

We're out in the country, I think if we get out by the weekend we'll be lucky.

I've got two parents, my two brothers, two dogs, and a two year old with me. I think there's a theme here....

Anyway, crazy is nothing new here. I think I'm about to be asked to bake something...again.

I love the snow too, but at this rate my kids are going to be going to school until mid July.
