isabelladangelo: (18th c)

Here is a picture of the fabric of the old sundress I made ...err...last century. Really. I'm taking it apart and it looks like there is enough fabric to make it into a simple 18th c jacket. It won't have much of a skirt but it will look super cute with a pink linen petticoat this summer. ;-)

The picture isn't the best (I took it with my blackberry) but you should be able to get the idea...

:-) It had been in my Mom's stash and I stole it. I wanted a nice basic sundress but the pattern I used was way way too big. This was back when I was learning that just because Simplicity tells you that you are a size 14, doesn't mean you should cut out the size 14... I never wore the dress. So, now, I can take it apart and hopefully piece a jacket together.

Wow - love the fabric! It definitely deserves a second chance. :>

I'm going to try and cut it out this week and sew it up this weekend...assuming everything goes according to plan...
