I tried to post a very funny (to me at least) article during the day via email. I noticed before that sometimes there is a lag between the email and getting it posted but...it's still not up. Grr.

Anyway, I did cut out my red silk Elizabethan stays. Turns out I had just the perfect amount of silk available in the scrap pile. I also had a matching red cotton that is being used as the lining and bias tape around the edges. Yay!

In weather news, it's very wet. I think I need to build a boat. It's been flooding so bad at work that they have had road closures. Some people have called in sick due to the flooding and needing to pump out water from their basements. I don't know if anyone else saw the video from out of Ellicott City, Md of Main Street but it's pretty impressive in terms of the amount of water. Anything that reaches the windows on a car is rather unnerving...

Hershey, PA is entirely underwater. Forget cars, I've seen photos of the buildings at the shopping centers covered up to the roof eaves.

I've seen the pictures of that too, unfortunately. However, Ellicott City is about 10 minutes from where I work.
