Sewing Stuffs

jennylafleur's on Saturday and actually got a lot of beading done on my Titanic evening gown. I ended up making the underbodice too long and had to cut it shorter later but at least the underbodice is beaded now. I didn't like the way the sleeves looked with the rest of the dress so I'm adding undersleeves to the underbodice sleeves. The undersleeves will be out of the sari fabric that I'm using for the front of the dress. It's all very complicated but it looks "right" which is sort of the point. :-)
I got more trim for the overskirt. I still haven't sewn it all down despite it being a pretty quick sew. I'll do that tomorrow.
In other news; to celebrate the end of Lent this Thursday, I ordered myself some cookies and half a dozen chocolate dipped strawberries. Anyone on my blogspot journal probably understands why.
Today, I mowed the lawn, raked the back yard a bit, killed all the spiders in the shed, did the dishes, some laundry, and basically attempted to clean up the outside and inside of the house. The inside still needs work but the outside looks much better.
