Button Front Caraco!

It is cut! Yay! I plan on having it done by this weekend so I can wear it. The fabric is this lovely multi colored bamboo print on a gray background I got a few years ago at Fort Fred. My inspirations:

I actually have a lot more inspirations but these are a few. I decided I need a button front jacket. I have some lovely buttons from Williamsburg but I only have 6. I think I'll need another packet. So, for now, I'll sew on some silver ones that I have lying around that are roughly the same size as the silver flower ones I got from Williamsburg. I'll just get another six when I head down there this summer after Dress U. Anyone feel like heading down for a weekend?

We need *something* 18th C with Under the Redcoat gone this year. And since I need to go to Williamsburg anyway to get buttons, why not make a fun costumey weekend of it? After Dress U, of course.

Weekend in Williamsburg sounds fun - if I can make it work with my summer class schedule, I'm totally tempted...I miss having UTR this year, so if you plan on going... ;)
