isabelladangeloSo, I cut out 45" of the material I need for the Snow White skirt since the panel I had cut was too small. I need 42" so, I figured, even with shrinkage, 45" should be fine. No, it wasn't. I swear this is made out of wool. After I dyed it to the perfect color - it matches exactly with the other panel- I held up the 45" panel and...it's 40". It's 2" too short - just like the other panel. AGH!!!!!
.....now I need to be creative with the Snow White dress which should have been SIMPLE. Beyond the skirt issue, there is also the bodice issue. I added a piece of canvas to help hide the bones better -it sort of does help a bit- and was about to add the tabs when I realized, the tabs are about an inch off from the movie tabs in width. padawansguide ;-) )but it's just another annoyance on what was supposed to be a simple outfit.
I'm putting the entire project in the bad corner and going to work on the secret Titanic outfit instead. It's more amusing anyway...
