Sewing Progress!

isabelladangeloI cut out Mom's raincoat last night. I'm sort of freaking out a bit over this project only because I know she loves the fabric and this is my own pattern. I did try the mock up on her and it fit but well, we all know how that can go! Of the many projects I've done in the past, I've never made a raincoat before. Although it should be line any other lined coat, the material is different. I'm using laminated cotton which is lovely but try pushing it through the sewing machine laminated side up! Ugh! I think I figured a way around that and we'll see...
I also made a pink ribbon tutu for my supervisor's "doll" (I can hear him screaming "It's an action figure!" already) as requested by our boss. I tried to make a red tulle one but it ended up being made of fail. Anyone need a tulle rat for their hair? It would work well for that!
